RSA Student Design Competition
As part of class, three classmates including myself entered the Royal Society of Arts Student Design Competition. We were able to choose from six briefs that were given to the contestants. Our brief “Made Natural” is defined poses the question, “How might we create sustainable, nature-based solutions which use trees to protect the environment and strengthen communities?”
The Solution
For our solution, we made an app called Ecolens that utilizes AI and AR technology to help educate users and allow them to see where effective tree species could be planted to help mitigate flood damage and promote ecological rejuvenation through promoting conscious planting efforts, connecting with local resources, and engaging with their community.
